Bob Krachenfels, DMD
Dr. Bob Krachenfels, also known as “Dr. Bob” at Reef Kids, is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. He began his educational journey at SUNY Binghamton studying Biochemistry, followed by earning his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry while at Rutgers University. Once becoming a dentist, Dr. Bob continued an additional two years working with children while attending Montefiore Medical Center for his formal pediatric dental residency program. Following his graduation with a certificate in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Bob continued on to earn his board certification through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Bob is a strong believer in making Reef Kids a friendly home for all children and families. He strongly believes in making everyone comfortable, fostering a judgment-free environment where patients and parents alike are encouraged to get involved and ask questions. Developing a positive rapport is an important aspect of building trust in any relationship, especially with some children who may feel uneasy at the dentist. It is not an uncommon sight to find Dr. Bob making a silly joke to help relax his patients.
Dr. Bob loves to stay up-to-date and involved in the field of pediatric dentistry. He routinely attends annual AAPD conferences, and local Hillsborough County meetings, and helps serve those in need through locally volunteering his dental services. On his days not working with Reef Kids, you can find him teaching at the local Tampa NYU Langone Pediatric Dental residency program.
